best run i've done is 9 min with a cupcake....i use the r/rt vwk/spirit rift build, and now i easily get 10 min runs w/o cupcakes by using dwarven stability+stormchaser for nearly perma-IMS....I will do a run and actually count the number of mobs to be sure i'm hitting 16 and i'll ss the route/time...then can i have the 100k?? lol

Sure you deserve the 100K if you can do the runs consistently in 10 minutes. Once there is someone who is willing to be the neutral observer, we can arrange the date and time to do it. Of course, you need to pick all important drops such as golds, scalps and feathers and not one Sensali is left alive. If you fail then you need to post here that doing the run in 10 minutes is not possible.

here is a 9 min run picking up everything (inventory was full so the stuff on the ground in the pick could not be picked up)..the route shown kills all birds along the way which is 16-17 mobs..1 big one so can be counted as 2?, otherwise 16 mobs

Aggroing 2-3 groups of tengu's makes run easier.

Got a nice farm now that does this solo (no heros required) in HM.
Takes about 3 times as long as the NM 12 minute run, but nets 200+ feathers, 50 iron, 40 bone, 3k vendor trash (white/blue/purple/gold junk), ~1 tome, and 2-3 chests (not included in 3k vendor trash). Not really much better than NM, feather-farming-wise, but opens the door to getting chests/max golds/tomes (and EXP for consets LOLZ!!!).
I think it could be gotten down below 30 minutes total time, with patience (I die too often), and a better route, and using an empty equipment pack (I stop and ID/salvage way too much)...
EDIT some of the NM runs posted here are pretty fast, but appear to leave out 2 groups. I ignore 1 of them in HM... You can also kill 2 of the 3 bosses in that zone, if you hope to get their elite tomes (the warrior boss I can't kill) - I don't bother, tho. It takes a lot of time to ID/salvage, and you're going to spend that time doing said-same in an outpost, anyways.

How in the world are you guys averaging 100+ feathers per run? I've tried just about every way that I can think of and I still result in only 60-80 per run (80 being a very good run for me lol). I've used both ritualist builds (VwK Echo and Spirit Rift + Ancestors Rage). Killing them all at once with the channeling build doesn't really seem to decrease drop rates... and killing them one by one with VwK Echo doesn't seem to increase drop rates. I'm killing all of the mobs aswell and am salvaging the crests. So not sure how you guys are getting such good runs hehehe. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I doubt bad luck since I've done this run 30+ times.
Thanks in advance

I don't like VwK for killing Tengu in Jaya. Too often they get distracted and run off to fight yeti which leaves you just standing about doing nothing.
I use a spirit spam build myself - it's the R/Rt Rt/R build that's in this forum (currently one thread down from this). It's very effective.

I don't have a problem using the Rt/Me build as you can see from the above. 113 feathers is less than my usual average of 125 as I often do get more than 150 feathers. Disregard the time taken to do the run as I was interrupted by an alliance member discussing some important issues. My usual runs takes about 20 mins. This run was done after reading your post. Post your IGN so I can contact you to see how you do it as getting less is unusual.

Just did 5 runs today with my usual Channeling build. As usual, I got an average of 60 - 80 feathers per run. Took a screen of the best run I had in a while lol:
The run resulted in 84 feathers after salvage. My IGN is Aimless Azealz if anyone wants to witness my failures lol :P.

Modified my solo HM build slightly (spirit spammer + radiation field), and now consistently get 150-250 feathers in 30-32 minutes. FWIW, not using any speed buffs (cupcakes or blue rock candy might be wise to test).
Plus, lots of usable gold drops, tomes, and 2-3 chests per run (also been getting tons of minor/major vigor runes in HM - never got any in NM).
Plus, I now gain EXPERIENCE that I can use to make CONSETS (over 43 consets ATM)...
Nice rit runes drop here - now they're worth a TON as well!!!

Through the help of Xiao Erh, I was able to get with the range of 100 - 120 feathers a run which seems to be the normal rate at which you guys are getting feathers. This is done through using the VwK Echo build in a 15 min run. Seems to work better for me than the channeling build and the spirit spammer build. Posting this just in case anyone else is having the problem with averaging less than 80 feathers per run.
Thanks again for the help Xiao Erh .

No trouble at all and I was glad to assist you. One thing I personally observed was your original build although very efficient in instant death to all foes does not yield the same results as when individual foes die at slightly different times. Both you and myself made that observation after the run and you experimented with a different build which slows your run. The results was definitely an improvement and I hope you will revert back to the old build and re-confirm.
I also would like to suggest that you should take a long break after a spell of poor drops. Somehow, I do get better results after the break, and besides doing the same thing over and over again is pretty boring. I trust anyone who dispute this to refrain from responding as this is just a personal opinion. If there is a need to address this, please make a thread about it. Thank you.

I did some testing on this a while ago ... I compared killing all the Luxon Assassins (from The Halcyon Job) at once (Agro all of them, pull them up one of the stairs from the middle building, Spiteful Spirit, and watch the explosion of numbers) vs one at a time (Agro all of them, kill them with SV and Necrosis)
The test was to see the effect on Event items, but the results were pretty clear ... While event items had the same drop rate, everything else had a much smaller droprate when all the enemies were killed all at once.
